Description
The designated runway for landing on this day at Newark Liberty Int'l Airport in New Jersey was runway 29, the shortest of the three runways at New Jersey's busiest airport. It's necessary to use this one for takeoffs and landings when there are strong winds blowing from the west. Also it can be quite a challenge for pilots when they have to utilize a technique known as crabbing in order to properly align the plane with the runway. The New Jersey Turnpike was quite literally just a few feet below. A metal print best brings out the details.
