Description
These are some of the old swings typical of playgrounds during the 1960's. They did not have the same rigorous safety requirements of today's playground equipment. Yet there was a certain raw, organic quality of both the material of which it was made as well as the simple thrill of delight, something perhaps lost in today's modern playground. But safety should always be paramount. So here is a visual record of what once was.

You are right kellice the swings of today are more safely equipped than the play ground swings of the 1960's. However, I believe they are all fun for children or people young at heart. Love your capture and thanks for the fun memory. F/V
